Tuxamee

During this activation, Tuxamee will take portraits on a set similar to those used in the Leonese tradition popularly known as the “Day of the Indians”– a celebration honoring San Juan Diego every January 12th. The artist redefines this tradition in portraits that seek to “unpack” the meaning behind costumes worn by those who attend the celebration while giving participants the freedom to be themselves.
