Spaces in León and Guanajuato will be hosting the Relieves program as part of the 15th FEMSA Biennial. On this occasion, Galería Dos Topos invites Enrique Minjares to give a guided tour of the show En llamas (pintura a fuego lento).

En llamas (pintura a fuego lento) is a visual project consisting of a series of paintings of fires that occurred during the first years of this decade. The work reflects on the collective actions that lead to natural disasters while contrasting the violence of everyday life with the filtered perception in the mass media. The project tells a visual story in the present tense, pondering the timeless nature of painting while predicting an adverse future.

The artist will offer a guided tour to mark the show’s closing.
